Job Description: Manual Handler for Delivery Processing

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and reliable individual to join our team as a Manual Handler for Delivery Processing. As a Manual Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the stock, processing deliveries, making independent decisions about merchandising, and ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management system. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The shifts for this position are from 5:30 am to 1 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Management: Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring efficient storage, accurate labeling, and easy accessibility of items.

Delivery Processing: Receive incoming deliveries, check them for accuracy, and properly store them in designated areas.

Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, monitor inventory levels, and proactively reorder items as needed to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.

Merchandising: Make independent decisions about product placement and display to optimize sales and customer experience.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on delivered items to ensure they meet the required standards and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Equipment Handling: Safely operate manual handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to move and transport stock as necessary.

Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless coordination of stock and delivery processes.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock movements, delivery processing, and any other relevant documentation as required.

Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to internal stakeholders and occasionally assist customers with their inquiries or requests.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in stock management, warehouse operations, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and recording information.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions regarding merchandising and stock management.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and occasionally interact with customers.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to them.

Working Schedule:

  • Shifts: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
  • Shift Timing: 5:30 am to 1 pm.
