The Job
We are excited to be recruiting an experienced HR Assistant predominantly supporting the Blue Light Division based at our VCS Bradford site.
You will be joining a small but busy HR team who are based at other locations supporting the whole of the Group; therefore, this role is central in supporting the department with HR Administration tasks, taking responsibility for recruitment co-ordination, and also assisting with employee relation projects alongside the Group HR Manager and Senior HR Advisor.
There will be development opportunities available and potential study support if desirable.
There is some opportunity for flexible working and can be discussed at interview stage.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordination of all recruitment activities, including but not limited to: writing job specs, placing them on job boards, websites, social media, linkedIn and liaising with agencies when appropriate, shortlisting CV’s for managers, liaising with recruiting managers, booking interviews, assisting with interviews when necessary;
- Drafting offer letters and contracts;
- Co-ordination of new starters for induction;
- Attending and delivering inductions;
- Processing new starter paperwork on the HR System and liaising with relevant departments
- Maintaining and updating all recruitment guides and resources for managers
- Drafting amendment to contracts;
- Maintaining the HR system with any changes to employee details such as pay increases and job titles/departments
- Absence management co-ordination: such as ensuring return to work interviews are being carried out, scanning them to file, maintaining the absence data on the HR system, attending return to work interviews with Managers when needed, keeping track of LTS and arranging welfare meetings with Managers;
- Supporting the management of the WN Hub Intranet, uploading documents and HR content when required.
- Assisting Managers with meetings when required, typing up documents and ensuring a record is maintained;
- Note taking in meetings;
- Carrying out exit interviews;
- Any other admin duties such as filing, archiving, keeping the HR folder organised and functional.
Skills and Experience:
- Enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to thrive working under pressure.
- Confident delivering inductions and attending interviews, virtually and in person.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic and constantly changing environment.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom.
- Excellent English writing skills is essential.
- Desire to progress and learn HR Skills is essential.
- Previous HR Admin experience is essential;
- Studying towards CIPD is desirable;
- Driving licence is essential for travel to other sites will be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
